Podcast #17: A Wish for Egypt

A self-proclaimed weenie finds herself in Cairo during the Arab spring. This story of a wish for a more tranquil Egypt comes from our July 2012 show “Wishful Thinking.”

A warning to our more sensitive listeners: This story contains graphic description of some physical injury that took place during the Egyptian revolution.

About the storyteller
Born and raised in Berkeley, Kate Goodin aspires to be a Spanish- and Arabic-speaking journodancernovelist. Despite this being a totally impractical aspiration, this is actually a pretty good synopsis of what she’s been doing the past few years.
