About the storyteller
A hunter of clams and climber of glaciers, Booth Haley was born in the Pacific Northwest. Then he spent the waning days of his youth as an itinerant poem translator and folk song collector in Connecticut, China and Indonesia, before settling in San Francisco to study teeth.
