November 8th may be the big decision day, but November 5th is the day to celebrate stories of campaigns for student government, embarrassing fundraisers, and awkward GOTV calls.* Join us for Indecision 2016: Stories of elections, campaigns, and competition of all kinds!
As always, new storytellers are welcome and encouraged. Feel free to interpret the theme as literally or figuratively as you wish. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up. Stories must be true, told without notes, and be about 10 minutes in length.
When: Saturday, November 5th
Doors at 7 pm, first storyteller at 7:30 pm
Venue: House of Duke
3133 College Avenue
(Half a block north from College & Alcatraz, about a 10-minute walk from Rockridge BART.)
Theme: Indecision 2016
Free admission (donations encouraged!)
*Originally the theme for this show was, “My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die: Stories of Revenge.” However a number of bad hombres election nuts convinced us to switch it up. That said “revenge” is awfully close to “campaign,” so tales of getting even will be more than welcome.
